Choosing your artist is one of the biggest decisions in the tattoo process. If you don’t know where to start—or the directory hasn’t turned up what you’re looking for—I’ll help you look further.
I’ll draw on years of collecting tattoos and researching artists to put together a personalised shortlist based on your ideas, preferred style, location, travel distance, and budget. That could include artists you might never have discovered yourself.
I’ve helped people find artists who went on to tattoo them. This service brings that same personal research to your next piece.

Built around your tattoo
The private questionnaire will cover your idea and placement, size, colour or black and grey, styles you like, and examples of the look you’re after. You can also mention artists you’ve already considered.
Tell me your city and country, how far you’re willing to travel in kilometres or miles, and whether a wider trip is an option. Your tattoo budget helps guide the search; the artist will confirm their own quote.
What the service includes
This is a personalised research and recommendation service from a tattoo collector. I aim for five strong matches, rather than filling a list with artists who don’t suit your brief.
The fee covers one brief and one shortlist. Tattoo design, contacting artists, booking appointments, and the tattoo itself are not included. Recommendations don’t guarantee availability, a particular price, or a tattoo outcome.
A new idea or an additional search would be a separate service, agreed with you first.
Service and refund policy
The $60 CAD fee pays for personal research against your submitted brief, with a shortlist of up to five suitable artists. It does not guarantee that you will choose an artist or that an artist will be available, accept the project, or quote within your budget.
If you cancel before research begins, you can request a full refund. If research has been completed and Justin cannot identify suitable matches, he will offer to broaden the search with your agreement. If no suitable shortlist can be provided, a 60% refund ($36 CAD) is available; $24 CAD is retained for research already completed.
Once a shortlist that meets your agreed brief has been delivered, personal preference, choosing not to proceed, or changing your idea does not by itself qualify for a refund. If you believe the recommendations do not meet your brief, email Justin so he can review the issue and make appropriate corrections.
Refunds are reviewed and issued manually. Contact JustINKD94@gmail.com with your order reference. This policy does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Your questionnaire and payment email are used to fulfil your search and handle support. Card details are processed by Stripe, not stored by JustINKD. Only authorised JustINKD administrators can view your brief.
